Event Production and PR Case Study

I teamed up with Youlovefashion.com to produce and promote one of the very first pop up pamper and shopping events which soon became a bit of a fad across London. This was just on the crest of the wave of the clothes swapping events which were becoming extremely popular around the economic downturn. Brief: To produce a pop up pamper parlour and shopping event with a budget of £100. The events comprised - mini makeovers, handmade and secondhand markets, free cupcakes, tarot, holistic therapies and other fun activities. Outcome: My business partner Roisin Wilson and I successfully produced two events securing venues worth thousands of pounds for free coming away with a profit from both events (which is virtually unheard of in the industry).  We secured widespread press coverage in top online and London Press from Time Out Magazine to Glam UK and the Sassy Minx, with both events being well attended and amazing feedback from those who visited. CASE STUDY - MARKETING & PR

Client: Yoga Square - a small business start up. Brief: Consultancy - to create and implement an integrated marketing, pr and social media strategy from messaging through to copywriting, design management, business consultation and system development for this yoga teacher training school. Outcome: A website, blog, newsletter and database. Widespread media coverage and a successful stand at the Yoga Show London trade show enabling Jasmine to run her first yoga teacher training course.

Client:   The Cooperative Gardeners Ltd Brief:  To kick off the branding process by creating a tone and set of key messages reflecting the brand values of this South West London based gardening and landscaping company. Designing and copywriting the website in the absence of a logo. Designing and copywriting promotional material for a property focused campaign. Result:  From the 6 estate agents approached with the property focused flyer, one came back with a request for a quote: Savills manage 400 properties in the South West London area.

To create a consumer, regional and specialist media pr strategy and plan for the Big Care Debate. To devise a portfolio of tactics to deliver wider brand awareness of the Big Care Debate. Result:  Achieving audience reach in the millions through consumer media and stakeholder channels: The AA, Benenden Healthcare, Which? Take a Break, Good Housekeeping, The Economist, Saga, Moneysavingexpert.com, all personal finance onlines, Choice, Woman’s Weekly, Reader’s Digest, Candis online among others. PRESS CASE STUDY HSE

Client:  The Health and Safety Executive Brief:  To design, manage and execute a PR strategy to tie-in with the Shattered Lives advertising campaign.  To achieve coverage in all the local media on a national level and trade titles. The 'Porcelain Princess' tactic was devised and rolled out as a photo/broadcast opportunity nationally. Result:  One of the HSE's most successful PR campaigns to date with over 200 pieces of coverage. Coverage was achieved nationally in every region both in broadcast, print and online media with in-depth, by-lined articles in key trade titles.
